Tim has been an active member of the Chicago design community since 1993, designing websites, books, consumer package goods, corporate identity systems, online and offline advertising, interactive environments and a wide and a variety of print collateral. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Tim spent the better part of the nineties cutting his teeth at small design firms owned or staffed by fellow alumni, then 1999 he joined Quantum Leap as an Associate Creative Director where he began designing web sites and online campaigns for brands including The University of Chicago, MSNBC and Anheuser-Busch.
As a partner and creative director of The Royal Order of Experience Design, Tim provides creative and strategic guidance, as well as maintaining oversight of visual design. His work has been recognized by award shows and publications including the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Graphis, Communication Arts, Strathmore, W3, Print Magazine and South by Southwest Interactive. As a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the Society of Typographic Arts, he is a frequent competition judge, student portfolio reviewer and guest speaker.
Tim serves as a board member with EPIC (Engaging Philanthropy, Inspiring Creatives), a Chicago-based organization that pairs creative professionals with select nonprofit clients whose missions focus on education, children and families. In addition, he donates ongoing time and talents to the Tutor/Mentor Connection, American Nutrition Association and Active Transportation Alliance. He lives on the north side with his wife and two children.
